"Rhetorical Awareness"

Q1.    You are probably aware of the importance of Rhetorical reading thus far. I would like to know how you would evaluate your use of rhetorical reading strategies and whether you will have any plans to improve your rhetorical skills and what are the plans?

Answer: I do use this method sometimes not always but when i dont have a clear idea of what we are reading i tend to go back and re-read it so i can have a better understanding. Sometimes when i have to summarize a text or article, i have to put in it my own words to understand it, if not just at least have an idea of what it is talking about.

Q2.    You are also expected to have a good understanding about Writer-Based Prose and Reader-Based Prose and the difference between them lies in the use of Rhetorical Strategies. I would like to know how you would differentiate the use of rhetorical strategies in writing (from reading as above) and what will be your plans to improve your rhetorical strategies in writing.

Answer: When using rhetorical strategies as a reader we have to think about what we are reading and make connections with our previous knowledge in order to get a better concept of what I am reading. Writer-Based prose fails to do some Rhetorical strategies because it doesnt focus on the audiences thoughts but on their own thought but Reader-Based prose does not.
